In this study, it has been aimed to investigate the sibling relationships of children with autism spectrum disorder and to evaluate the validity and reliability of Hassless and Uplifts of Sibling Relationship. The sample of the study consists of the siblings of 596 children with special needs who study in private and public special education centers which are affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Istanbul. The Demographic Information Form was used as a data collection tool in the study and ‘Schaeffer Sibling Behaviour Rating Scale’’ was first used by Schaffer-Edgerton (1979) and Mc Hale et al (1986) and adapted to Turkish culture as by Ahmetoğlu & Aral (2008). In addition, the “Sibling Daily Uplifts and Hassles Scale” was developed in order to measure the sibling relationships of children with disabilities by Giallo & Gavidia-Payne (2002, 2006), and then were conducted the validity and reliability of this study. In the first stage of the study, the validity and reliability of this study was carried out with the data which were collected from siblings of children with special needs, in the next stage were examined the sibling-related variables, the family-related variables, and variables related to the child wiith autism in this study. The validity and reliability analyzes of this research were made with M plus, and the analyzes of the variables were made with the SPSS-25 statistical program. The normality of the data collected in the study was tested and the distribution normality was ensured, therefore Independent Group t-test, One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Technique were used in the analysis of the data. As a result of the analysis of variance, the LSD test was made to determine the source of the difference. As a result of the analysis, it has been determined that ‘'Sibling Daily Uplifts and Hassles Scale’’is a valid and reliable measurement tool in terms of Turkish culture. While there are no significant difference about age, gender, birth order, closeness to siblings, number of siblings, ages of mothers and fathers, marital status, working/unemployment status of normally developing siblings, the time spent by their fathers with the child with ASD during the day, absence of another disabled person in the family, the gender of the child with ASD, the age of starting special education, the birth order of the child with ASD, significant differences were also found about the educational status of the siblings with normal development, the time spent with their sibling during the day, the education level of their mothers and fathers, the monthly income of the family, and their father's daily living with the child with ASD, when the child with ASD was first diagnosed and the education level of the child with ASD.
