Peep-show yöntemi ile elde edilen işitme eşiklerinin bera sonuçlar ile karşılaştırılması

Özet
Bu araştırma T.Ü. Tıp Fakültesi KBB hastalıkları Anabilim dalına 1991-1993 yılları arasında işitememe, konuşamama ve konuşma bozukluğu şikayeti ile başvuran 2.5-6 yaşları arası 6'sı kız, 14'ü erkek toplam 20 çocuk üzerinde yapılmıştır. Peep Show testinden elde edilen eşik değerlerinin BERA ile saptanan eşik değerlerine yakınlık dereceleri incelenmiştir. Peep' Show odyometri ile iyi koopere olan çocuklarda işitme eşiklerinin frekans dağılımlarının daha iyi elde edilebildiği; mental reterde çocuklarda ise peep show ile elde edilen·eşik değerler kuşku verici bulunduğundan bu grupta öncelikle objektif odyometri ile eşik saptanmasının gecikmeyi de önlemek açısından uygun olacağı saptanmıştır. Sonuç olarak çocuklarda işitme eşiklerinin saptanmasında objektif odyometriden önce ulaşılması ve uygulanması daha kolay olan peep show odyometri ile test yapılmasının uygun olacağı ve yöntemin ihmal edilmemesi gerektiği kanısına varılmıştır.
SUMMARY This study was done on 20 children between the ages 2.5-6 of whom 6 were girls and 14 were boys. They had all applied to Trakya University Medical Faculty ENT Department between years 1991 and 1993 with the complaints of hearing and speaking problems and speaking disorders. The similarity of the threshold values obtained from the Peep Show ta the threshold values of BERA was investigated. it has been conducted that the fregvency distribution of hearing threshold is obtained better from the children who cooperated well with the Peep Show Odiometry, and because the threshold values of the Peep Show are doubtful in mentally retarded childr n, it has alsa been stated that determining the threshold odiometry in this group in order not ta waste time is suitable. it has been concluded that Peep Show Odiometry tests, which are easy to get and apply, are more suitable than objective odiometry in determining the hearing thresholds of children and that this method should not be neglected.
