| dc.description.abstract | Obsesif-kompulsif bozukluk, önceleri düşünüldüğünden daha fazla insanı etkileyen, sık rastlanan psikiyatrik bir bozukluktur. Obsesif-kompulsif bozukluk semptomlarının büyük oranda heterojen ve eştanıların yüksek oranda olması, bu alanda çalışan psikiyatrların tahminlerinin üstündedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Edirne ilindeki lise öğrencilerinde obsesif-kompulsif bozukluğun epidemiyolojisini araştırmaktı. Etkilenmiş öğrencileri tanımlamada iki aşamalı süreç kullanıldı. İlk aşamada Maudsley Obsesif-Kompulsif Soru Listesi ve Sosyodemografik Veri Formu 3100 öğrenciye uygulandı. İkinci aşamada ise, Dünya Sağlık Örgütüyle çalışarak geliştirilmiş uluslararası tam yapılandırılmış tanı amaçlı görüşme ölçeği kullanılarak tanı kondu. İkinci aşamada 27 kız, 13 erkek toplam 40 öğrencide obsesif-kompulsif bozukluk görüldü. Vakaların %47.5'inde depresyon eştanısına rastlandı. Fenomenolojik ve demografik özellikler ya da ailesel değişkenler, kontrol grubuyla karşılaştırıldığında önemli farklara rastlanmadı. Çalışma sırasında ergenlerin çoğunun görüşmeye gönülsüz ve semptom saklama eğiliminde oldukları görüldü. Çalışmamızda tanımlanmış obsesif-kompulsif bozukluk vakalarının özellikleri önceki çalışmaların klinik ve toplum örneklerine benzerlik göstermemektedir. | en_US |

| dc.description.abstract | Obsessive-compulsive disorder is a common and disabling psychiatric condition affecting many more people than previously thought. The specialists in the field underscore the great heterogenetiy of symptoms and the high frequency of comorbidity in this disorder. The aim of this study was to investigate the epidemiology of obsessive-compulsive disorder in high school students in Edirne, Turkey. A two stage ascertainment procedure was used to identify affected students. In the first stage, 3100 students were asked to fill the Turkish version of the Maudsley Obsessive-Compulsive Inventory and sociodemographic form. In the second stage, the Turkish version of The Composite International Diagnostic Interview CIDI Version 2.1 based on DSM-IV and ICD-10 diagnostic criteria was used to make the diagnosis of obsessive-compulsive disorder. At the second stage, forty students with obsessive-compulsive disorder were found, twenty seven of those consisted of girls and thirteen of boys. 47.5% had comorbite depression. There were no significant differences in the phenomenology, demographic characteristics or sociofamilial variables between the diagnosed obsessive-compulsive disorder cases and the control group. It appeared that most adolescents were unwilling to be interviewed and tended to conceal the symptoms. In our study, the case identified as obsessive-compulsive disorder had many characteristics that were unlike those in previously described clinical and population samples. | en_US |
