dc.description.abstractThis paper provides information about Scutelleridae, Cydnidae and Pentatomidae fauna of farming terraces in Aspat (Strobilos) ancient city and its territorium, Bodrunn, Mug la, western Turkey, during the years of 2008-2009. As a result of this study, thirty three species were identified. Those were Eurygaster maura (Linnaeus, 1758), Odontoscelis byrrhus Seidenstucker, 1971, Odontotarsus purpureolineatus (Rossi, 1790), 0. rufescens Fieber, 1861, Psacasta tuberculata (Fabricius, 1781), Byrsinus pilosulus (Klug, 1845), Cydnus aterrimus (Forster, 1771), Macroscytus brunneus (Fabricius, 1803), Microporus nigrita (Fabricius, 1794), Acrostemum heegeri Fieber, 1861, A. millierei (Mulsant & Rey, 1866), Aelia acuminata (Linnaeus, 1758), A. rostrata Boheman, 1852, Ancyrosoma leucogrammes (Gmelin, 1789), Carpocoris mediterraneus Tamanini, 1958, C. purpureipennis (De Geer, 1773), Codophila varia (Fabricius, 1787), Dolycoris baccarum (Linnaeus, 1758), Eutydema omatum (Linnaeus, 1758), E. rugulosa (Dohrn, 1860), E. ventralis Kolenati, 1846, Eysarcoris ventralis (Westwood, 1837), Graphosoma semipunctatum (Fabricius, 1775), Holcostethus strictus strictus (Fabricius, 1803), Mustha spinosula (Lefebvre, 1831), Neottiglossa bifida (Costa, 1847), N. leporina (Herrich-Schaffer, 1830), Nezara viridula (Linnaeus, 1758), Sciocoris cursitans (Fabricius, 1794), S. heifer! Fieber, 1851, S. ochraseus Fieber, 1861, Staria lunata (Hahn, 1835) and Ventocoris achivus (Horvath, 1889). Among them G. semipunctatum, E. omatum, A. acuminata and C. varia were the most abundant species. 17 species were recorded for the first time from Mug la province of Turkey. Data on horizontal and vertical distribution, collection methods and seasonal occurrence periods of all species were also analyzed in this study.en_US
