| dc.description.abstract | Teknoloji günümüz dünyasında her alanda insanlık adına pek çok girişim imkânı ve kolaylık getirmektedir. Bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerinin eğitim öğretim süreçlerine katkısını esneklik, tasarruf, verimlilik, bireysellik, görsellik vb. şeklinde sıralayabiliriz. Özellikle işitme engellilerin eğitim öğretim sürecinde ihtiyaç duyduğu başlıca özelliklerin eğitimin bireysel farklılıklara göre planlanması ve doğru teknik ile sunulan görsellik olduğunu düşünecek olursak bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerinin doğru kullanıldığı takdirde işitme engelliler için hayati bir imkânı sağlama potansiyeline sahip olduğu ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu araştırma İşitme Engelliler İlkokul ve Ortaokulunda Bilgi ve İletişim Teknolojilerinin nasıl kullanıldığını belirlemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada Edirne ili Şehit Öğretmen Adnan Tunca İşitme Engelliler İlkokul ve Ortaokulunda öğrenim gören 40 öğrenci ve 15 öğretmen katılımcı olarak yer almıştır. Araştırma çalışılan konunun özelliği ve amacı doğrultusunda nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması olarak desenlenmiştir. Verilerin geçerlik ve güvenirliğini arttırmak için birden fazla veri toplama aracı ile veri toplanarak veri çeşitlemesi yoluna gidilmiştir. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde betimsel analiz ve içerik analizi teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre bilgi ve iletişim teknolojileri işitme engelliler ilkokul ve ortaokulu öğretim sürecinde öğretmenlerin tercih ettiği başlıca öğretimsel araçlardır. Ayrıca öğretmenler Bilgi ve İletişim Teknolojilerinin ders sunumunu kolaylaştırdığını ve öğrencilerin motivasyonlarının arttırdığını belirtmiştir. Teknik donanımların eski olması ve öğrencilerin bilgisayarı oyun aracı olarak görmesi başlıca sorun olarak görülmektedir. Öğrenciler ayrıca bilgisayarı ders çalışmak için kullanmadıklarını ifade etmişlerdir. İşitme engellilere yönelik bir müfredat oluşturulması ve müfredat dâhilinde teknolojik içerik üretilmesi en temel öneri olarak öğretmen görüşmelerinden elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerinin işitme engellilerin eğitiminde bilinçli kullanılması konusunda katkı sağlayacaktır. | en_US |

| dc.description.abstract | In today’s world, technology brings in many facilities and opportunities of attempts for humans in every field. The contribution of information and communication technologies to educational processes could be sorted as flexibility, saving, efficiency, individuality, visuality, etc. Especially, given the fact that the main features that hearing-impaired students need in educational processes are that education must be organized by individual differences, and visuality must be introduced with the right technique, information and communication technologies, when used properly, are found to have the potential of providing a vital opportunity for the hearing-impaired. This study was conducted in order to determine how the Information and Communication Technologies were used in primary and secondary schools for the hearing-impaired. 40 students and 15 teachers from ‘The Martyr Teacher Adnan Tunca Primary and Secondary School for the Hearing-Impaired’ in Edirne province participated in the study. The study was designed as a case study from qualitative research methods in accordance with the subject and aim of the study. Data variation through collecting data by multiple data-collection instruments was utilized in order to enhance the validity and reliability of data. While analyzing the data, descriptive analysis and content analysis techniques were used. According to the results of the study, Information and Communication Technologies are the instructional instruments that teachers prefer during the instructional process in primary and secondary schools for the hearing-impaired. Furthermore, the teachers reported that Information and Communication Technologies facilitated the process of giving lecture and enhanced the motivation of students. That the technical installations of schools were quite old and that the students regarded computers as instruments for playing games were reported to be the main problems. Moreover, the students reported that they did not use computers for studying. The main implications acquired through teacher interviews were that a curriculum for the hearing-impaired should be generated, and technological content should be produced in accordance with the curriculum. Results will contribute to the issue of using information and communication technologies in the field of education of the hearing-impired consciously. | en_US |
