Technology has become an important component of daily life, a feature that defines the digital age where parenting roles and responsibilities are changing. Children's ability to use technology in a safe and healthy manner depends on mothers having a conscious approach to technology. This level of awareness increases children's capacity to understand the risks they may be exposed to on the internet and digital platforms, helping them learn protection strategies against abuse, cyberbullying or harmful content. A convergent parallel mixed method was adopted, in which the opinions and survey results of mothers with different socioeconomic levels were evaluated qualitatively and quantitatively in the research sample. Research data was obtained using semi-structured interviews and the Digital Parenting Self-Efficacy Scale. Semi-structured interview data were analyzed using the descriptive analysis method. Descriptive statistics, independent t-test and ANOVA tests were used to analyze the quantitative data. It is seen that mothers consider the concept of digital parenting in the context of protecting their children from Internet addiction and focus more on the threats of the digital environment. It has been concluded that verbal limitation, warning or using filtering programs are among the basic precautions to protect against the threats of the digital environment. It is seen that mothers consider the concept of digital parenting in the context of protecting their children from Internet addiction and focus more on the threats of the digital environment. It has been concluded that verbal limitation, warning or using filtering programs are among the basic precautions to protect against the threats of the digital environment. It has been observed that mothers learned reliable sites and methods to protect themselves from the threats of the digital environment during the Covid-19 period. Additionally, young mothers' competence in digital parenting was found to be high. It has been concluded that mothers between the ages of 41 and 50 comply with the needs of the digital age at some point by using social media communication tools such as WhatsApp and Facebook. It is observed that mothers with one child generally exhibit a very controlling and supervisory attitude, while mothers with two children have an active, self-developing, emotional bonding, guiding, questioning and researching personality. Mothers with three or more children generally display indifferent behavior. Additionally, even if the mothers' education level was high, no relationship was found between them and their digital parenting competence. Mothers, regardless of their family income, education level and profession, should have an investigative personality, follow innovations and current information, and display exemplary behavior. This will help them increase their digital parenting proficiency level. Children's use of technology should be controlled and balanced, based on the exemplary behavior of mothers.
