Öğe Mesleki ve Teknik Lise Öğrencilerinin Siber Aylaklık Düzeylerinin Farklı Değişkenlere Göre İncelenmesi(2018) Gezgin, Deniz Mertkan; Arslantaş, Tuğba Kamalı; Şumuer, EvrenBu çalışmanın amacı, mesleki ve teknik lise öğrencilerinin siber aylaklık düzeylerinin cinsiyet, sınıf, kullanılan sosyal medya hesabı sayısı, derslerde kullanılan cihaz türü ve sosyal medyayı kontrol etme sıklıkları açısından farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını incelemektir. Çalışmanın katılımcılarını Mesleki ve Teknik Lisede Bilişim Teknolojileri alanında öğrenim gören, mesleki derslerinde bilgisa yara erişimi olan ve derslerinde mobil telefonlarını serbest bir şekilde kullanan 145 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın verileri Siber Aylaklık Ölçeği ve demografik bilgi formu kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde bağımsız örneklem t -testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizinden (ANOVA) yararlanılmıştır. Bulgular incelendiğinde, öğrencilerin siber aylaklık düzeylerinde cinsiyet ve öğrenim görülen sınıfa göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmazken, derste yoğun olarak kullanılan cihaz türüne göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur. Ayrıca bulgular, öğrencilerin siber aylaklık düzeylerinin takip ettikleri sosyal medya hesabı sayısı ve sosyal medyayı kontrol etme sıklığına göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir şekilde farklılaştığını göstermektedir. Bu sonuçlar, akıllı telefon ve sosyal medya kullanımının mesleki ve teknik lise öğrencilerinin siber aylaklık davranışları üzerinde etkisi olduğunu göstermektedir. Çalışmada öğrencilerin siber aylaklık davranışlarının azaltılmasına ve ileride siber aylaklık üzerine araştırma yürütecek araştırmacılara yönelik bazı öneriler sunulmuştur.Öğe Translation Decisions and Methods in Paratranslation of Textless Back Translations(2020) Taş, SedaThis article intends to scrutinize various translation decisions of translators and editors intranslating a text back to its culture through a case study of textless back translations of TheGrande Turke Süleyman the Magnificent, Sultan of the Ottomans. It also makes an attempt toexplore how the traditional distinction between domestication and foreignization translationmethods might vary in these texts with a special reference to paratranslation. Paratranslation,coined as a term by a Translation and Paratranslation (T&P) research group at the University ofVigo, developed by Yuste Frías (2012, 2015) and already used in the research of translation studiesfor a while, is worthy of special attention for it enables to re-evaluate translation methods and reemphasize how translation decisions might become diversified. The source text at the focal pointof the study is considered to have a crucial place in Turkish history and culture for it narrates thetenth Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, Süleyman’s life from birth to death in detail. It was writtenby the English writer Fairfax Downey (1893-1990) in 1929 and translated into Turkish three timesby different translators. The source text and textless back translations, known as a specific kind ofback translation, have been analyzed comparatively in terms of paratranslation within the scopeof this study since the texts included the addition of abundant paratextual elements. The findingshave shown that paratranslations employed in the source texts’ repatriations allow to pinpointdifferent translation agents’ authorial or interventionist decisions in textless back translations.Additionally, the present study has witnessed that “re-domestication” as a more distincttranslation method might be employed in different cases of translation such as textless backtranslations.Öğe Unexpectedly high prevalence of narcolepsy in Sivas(Turkish Assoc Tuberculosis & Thorax, 2006) Ozturk, Levent; Bulut, Erdogan[Abstract Not Available]Öğe Polarographic studies on the kinetics of the electrode reaction of 4-benzoyl-1,5 diphenyl pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid(Scientific Technical Research Council Turkey, 1998) Verirsen, M; Erturan, SThe polarographic behavior of 4-Benzoyl-1,5 diphenyl pyrazole-3- Carboxylic acid (BDPPCA) in aqueous ethanol solution (76 % v/v) at 25 degrees C was studied as a function of pH using Mcl buffer solution. One well-defined wave was obtained in the pH range of 3.3-5.4. This wave, corresponding to two electron reduction processes, was irreversible and diffusion controlled. However, in the pH range of 5.4-7.4 a single reversible and diffusion-controlled wave involving two electrons resulted. The kinetic parameters (n(a),k(f,h)degrees) were calculated by Koutecky's method. A tentative mechanism was put forward for the reduction process of depolarizer.
