    The Assessment of High Schoolers' Internet Addiction

    Today, the constant development of technology greatly increases the use of internet. With the devices that makes internet access possible getting smaller and integrated into lots of technological equipment, internet becomes accessible almost everywhere. On the other hand, this makes the internet a technology that is welcoming people of all ages rendering the space factor void. It is believed by many that the high schoolers tend to use the internet via mobile devices more compared to other groups of people the impact of which is seen obviously in their social lives, family relations and friendships. The negative and/or positive impacts that the internet has on students and their lives is an important research area. This study aims to determine whether the student group in question shows the symptoms of internet addiction. With this object in mind, the levels of internet addiction in high schoolers was researched and survey method was used to measure the levels of internet addiction in different schools. The high school students in Edirne Province, Kesan District participated in the survey which was conducted during 2013-2014 academic year. (C) 2015 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.

    Duvarlardaki ısı kaybının yapay sinir ağı ile belirlenmesi ve karar destek sistemi ile malzeme seçimi

    Günümüzde ülkemizde ve dünyada enerji tasarrufu önemli yer teşkil etmektedir. Bu çalışmada binaduvarlarındaki ısı kaybının önüne geçebilmek için var olan etmenler değerlendirilerek ısı kaybını minimizeetmek ve dolayısıyla enerji tasarrufu sağlamak amaçlanmaktadır. Yapılacak işlemler de öncelikle,duvarlardaki ısı kaybına sebep olabilecek etmenler yapay sinir ağları yöntemiyle geri yayılımlı bir ağmodeli kullanılarak işleme sokulmuştur. Yapılan çalışmada duvarların yalıtımlı durumları göz önünealınmıştır. Yapılan bu işlem sonrasında, Isı yalıtımında Karar Destek Sistemleri kullanılarak uygunmalzeme seçimine karar verilmiştir. Isı yalıtımında kullanılacak malzeme seçme probleminde, müşteribeklentisini en yüksek derecede karşılayabilmek için ve daha sağlıklı karar alınabilmesi amacıyla AnalitikHiyerarşi Proses (AHP) yönteminden yararlanılan örnek bir Karar Destek Modeli önerilmiştir. Yönteminşaat firmaları tarafından en iyi malzeme seçimine karar vermek amacıyla uygulanmış ve sonuçlardeğerlendirilmiştir. Tüm bu değerlendirmelerin sonucunda ısı kaybına sebep olan etmenler değerlendirilmişve ısı kaybını engelleyebilmek için hangi etmenin daha önemli olduğu konusunda bir sonuç ortayaçıkmıştır.

    Hareketli görüntü dosyalarında bilgi gizlemede kullanılan yöntemlerin incelenmesi ve en önemsiz bite ekleme yönteminin uyarlanması

    Bilginin gizli kalacak şekilde güvenli iletimi için çeşitli yöntemler kullanılmaktadır. Bilgi gizleme ve şifreleme teknikleri bu amaçla kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada bilgi gizleme yöntemlerinin bir alt dalı olan steganografi hareketli görüntü dosyası olarak ta bilinen video dosyaları üzerinde uygulanmıştır. Gizli bilginin güvenli bir şekilde transfer edilmesi problemine karşı bir algoritma ile birlikte uygulama geliştirilmiştir. Tezin amacı video dosyaları üzerinde steganografi ve kriptoloji kullanarak bilgi gizleme ve veri iletimi için güvenli bir ortam oluşturmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda video dosyaları üzerine En önemsiz bite gizleme yöntemi kullanılarak veriler sıralı ve belirlen bir formül ile birlikte rastgele olarak gizlenmiş ayrıca güvenliği artırmak amacı ile yapılan bu gizleme işleme şifreleme teknikleri ile desteklenmiştir. Geliştirilen algoritmanın taşıyıcıdaki değişim açısından değerlendirmeleri MSE ve PSNR teknikleri ile ve dayanıklılık açısından değerlendirmeleri ise histogram analizi tekniği ile ölçülmektedir. Önerilen yöntem ile gizli iletişim alanında gerçekleştirilebilecek olan çözümlere bir katkı sağlayabileceği düşünülmektedir.

    Identifying the Usage of Information Technologies and Literacy Levels

    In parallel with the rapid developments in informatics and technology, the qualities that are expected from an individual have also changed. Today, utilizing the available technologies to get the information changing and growing constantly is not a privilege but a must. The individuals are required to know how to access to information, how to utilize it for their needs and to keep up with the developing technology. This study aims to define the two-way relationship between the information technologies literacy levels and the levels of information technologies usage based on the data obtained from 200 undergraduate students studying at Trakya University.     The Study of Customer Attitudes towards SMS Advertisements

    The use of mobile phones and the Internet has been increasing rapidly with the continuous developments in technology. This increase helps businesses have a more interactive relationship with their customers both increasing the customer satisfaction and the quality of the organizations. Especially, short message services are of importance to maintain the customer relations. The focus of communication has turned to mobile technologies with the availability of the Internet in mobile devices. Thanks to these developments in technology, businesses have begun to focus on mobile marketing in order to reduce the costs and address more people than before. In addition, whether they are positive or negative, the attitudes of customers can have a certain influence the reputation of the companies. This study aims to examine the attitudes of the college students at Trakya University, Kesan Yusuf Capraz School towards the sms marketing advertisements and the differences stemming from their ways of life.
