Importance of Form and Placement of Heating Elements from the Aspect of Comfort, Enviroment, Health and Economy
(Urednistvo Casopisa Strojartvo, 2008) Can, A.; Babadagli, A.
People want to have good conditions in their living and existing places. Therefore heating and cooling methods are developed according to different application areas, different heat transfer principles. When we heat a place, the suitability of the placement of heating element and applied heating method need to be examined from the aspect of factors such as effect on human health, comfort conditions and economics etc. according to design and operation cost. In this paper, heating methods were evaluated on selection of heating systems and heating elements to take into consideration such factors as heating area, energy economy, environment. health, comfort and economics.

Thermally activated building elements for cooling
(Inderscience Enterprises Ltd, 2005) Can, A.; Buyruk, E.; Kucuk, M.
This study presents a new model for the cooling of buildings. It introduces some applications of this model that are designed, constructed and tested. Experimental results show that this model could be applied easily, it could save considerable energy and helps in protecting the environment. In the present paper numerical and experimental studies were carried out for space cooling application. For this purpose, an experimental module was built and water flow rates, surface temperatures and water inlet and outlet temperatures were measured. The calculated heat transfer rates from experimental data were compared with two different numerical methods that were well comparable. The numerical methods used were finite difference method and finite element method.
