This study aims to investigate the effects of least-to-most prompting procedure presented by a robot on the symbolic play skills of the children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). During the research process, the skill steps of apple picking game designed as a symbolic play were taught to the children. The study was designed with a multiple baseline design across participants, which is one of the single-subject research methods. The participants were three children with ASD, aged between 6-8. Pilot study was carried out with a boy who was diagnosed with ASD prior to the study. The research process of the study consists of baseline, intervention, follow-up and generalization sessions. Date collection form was task analysis form of least-to-most prompting presented by the robot. Graphical analysis was conducted to examine the effectiveness of the intervention. Generalization data of the study were collected by organizing as pretest-posttest sessions and the findings were shown on figures. In addition, social validity data were collected from the participating children’s families and teachers through semi-structured interview forms to reveal the social significance of the study and descriptively analyzed. When the findings regarding the target skill acquisition levels of the children were examined after the study, it was determined that there was a significant increase in the performance of the three children before and after the intervention. In the follow-up sessions of the study, it was observed that all children maintained their target skill acquisition level at 100% accuracy in the first and second weeks after the intervention ended. According to the generalization findings, it was determined that the children were able to generalize the target skill acquired at 100% accuracy level across persons and settings. In addition, the social validity data reveal that the research is socially strong. With this research, the effectiveness of least-to-most prompting procedure presented by the robot on the acquisition of skill steps of the apple picking play designed as a symbolic play for the children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) was determined and then forward-looking suggestions were presented in the scope of the related literature.en_US
