Öğrencilerin %59‟u öğün atladığını, %41‟i öğün atlamadığını belirtmiştir.
Öğrencilerin %72,2‟si kahvaltı öğününü atladığını söylemiştir. Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin
%47,5‟i öğün aralarında çikolata, %45,1‟i meyve, %34,4‟ü hazır kek, tatlı bisküvi
tüketmektedir. Öğrencilerin %41‟i öğün aralarında su, %36,9‟u kahve, %28,7‟si çay
içmektedir. Öğrencilerin %31,1‟inin fastfood tüketim sıklığı haftada 2-3, %17,2‟sinin haftada
1, %17,2 sinin ayda 1‟dir. Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin %88,3‟ü günde 1-2 paket paketli
atıştırmalık tüketmektedir. Öğrencilerin çoğunluğunun peynir, meyve, ekmek, çikolata, şekeri
her gün tükettiği gözlenmektedir. Öğrencilerin enerji ve lif gereksinimlerini
karşılayamadıkları; protein, yağ, karbonhidrat gereksinimlerini karşıladıkları gözlenmiştir.
Öğrencilerin A vitamini, B2 vitamini, B6 vitamini, C vitamini, sodyum ve demir ihtiyaçlarını
The aim of this study was to determine anxiety, nutritional habits and food preferences
of high school senior students. 122 high school senior students, 72 of whom were women and
50 of whom were men, enrolled in the study. The questionnaire was applied to the students
using face to face interview method. The questionnaire consists of five parts: demographic
questionnaire, general nutrition habits and food preferences questionnaire, test anxiety
inventory, food consumption frequency and food consumption record form. 59% of the
students stated that they skipped meals and 41% stated that they did not skip meals. 72.2% of
the students said that they skipped breakfast meals. 47.5% of the students who participated in
the study consumed chocolate, 45.1% of them consumed fruit, 34.4% of them consumed
prepared cakes and sweet biscuits between meals. 41% of students drink water between
meals, 36.9% of them drink coffee, 28.7% of them drink tea. The frequency of fastfood
consumption of 31.1% of students is 2-3 times a week, consumption of 17.2% of students is 1,
and consumption of 17.2% of students is 1 per month. 88.3% of the students who participated
in the study consumed 1-2 packaged junk food per day. It is observed that the majority of
students consume cheese, fruit, bread, chocolate and sugar every day. It was observed that
students can not supply the energy and fiber requirements; but they can supply protein, fat,
carbohydrate requirements. It was found that the students supply the needs of vitamin A,
vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin C, sodium and iron; but they dont supply Vitamin B1, folic
acid, potassium, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus needs. The mean score of the test
anxiety inventory (SCI) of the students was 42.82 ± 13.78. In our study, there was a
statistically significant difference in SKE points according to gender (p <0.05). In our study, a
statistically significant difference was found between the frequency of chocolate, wafer, sugar
consumption and test anxiety scores of the students (p <0.05). A statistically significant
difference was found between the effect of exam anxiety on students' appetite and test anxiety
status (p <0.05). As a result, nutritional habits and food preferences of high school senior
students are affected by factors such as gender and exam anxiety. In our country, more studies
are needed to determine the effect of exam anxiety on nutrition habits and food preferences of
students.
